I LOVE this style, it really have the shabby chic vintage feel. They have to pieces of fabric and a drawstring by the knee, where you can either tighten and create more gathering or leave it loose for a more relaxed look.
My newest twist is the adjustable drawstring with the toggle clasp on the waist.

I finish all seams with a serger, which makes my clothing much more durable and professional looking. Beware of copycats; they may not be professionally-finished garments.
